Concealer
Maybelline Mineral Powder Natural Perfecting Concealer
This is the best concealer ever. It matches my skin tone so well and it goes on light and smooth.
I bought this on sale at Target. It came in a set which included mineral powder, a finishing veil powder and a brush. The whole set only cost me a total of $3.49. Look for the deals!
You can get this on retail for the full price of $8.29. Yikes! I'd wait until it goes on sale because drugstore products tend to go on sale fairly often.

Drugstore Mascara Review
- Maybelline Volum' Express
This was the first mascara I ever bought and I'd say it's my favorite. It makes your lashes thicker so it gives great volume.
Target - $6.49
This mascara sticks to your lashes well and it lengthens and separates very well also. What I like to do is first put Lash Blast on and then quickly apply the Maybelline Volum' Express over it to give the most dramatic everyday look. You need to put it on fast so the Lash Blast won't dry and then create clumping (you'll learn these things through experience).
Target - $7.49
I bought this brand because it supposedly hold the title of "America's #1 Mascara." I thought it was alright, but for people with naturally less noticeable lashes, this mascara doesn't do much for them. I chose the curved brush just to try something new, but I wasn't very satisfied with it. I'd just stick to the regular old straight brush.
Ralph's - $6.49
I bought this mascara kind of on a whim because it was on sale. My review goes the same with the Maybelline Great Lash. It doesn't do much for the lashes.
Longs Drugs - $4.99
- Maybelline Intense XXL Volume + Length
This mascara was the worst mascara I ever bought. It does absolutely NOTHING that it hypes about. It comes in a 2-part step, one with the white side to prime your lashes and one with the black side for the mascara part. When I first opened this product, I thought it was defective. I opened the primer side, and it looked as if there was nothing on the bristles. I applied it to my lashes and it had the same effect; there was nothing on my lashes. I then used the mascara side, and it was so unnoticeable when I put it on. This mascara could be good for just a plain cheap mascara, but the labeling hypes about it being INTENSE, XXL, providing EXTREME length and EXTREME volume, up to 60% longer lashes and 11x the volume; it did absolutely nothing of that. Worst mascara ever!ULTA - $7.79
(I bought this on sale for buy 2 get 1 free...still not worth it. I'm going back to see if I can return it...)
This much hyped mascara did not deliver at all. It says 9x the volume - nope. And it stinks too much also. I wouldn't mind the smell if it made up for it by being an excellent mascara, but it's not. Two for none means this is not a good mascara.
ULTA - $6.99
(on sale for buy 2 get 1 free... I went back to ULTA to return this one along with the Maybelline Intense Volume + Length. Thank goodness for ULTA being great about returning products, even if they are opened.)
- Maybelline Full 'N Soft
Update: After using this mascara on a regular basis, the major clumping does get kind of annoying. I said you could easily fix it, but it just ends up taking too much of your time, so if you're in a hurry this mascara is not for you.

ULTA - $7.19
(On sale -this is the only ULTA mascara I bought in the buy 2 get 1 free that I kept. I recommend it!)
I traded in the Intense XXL for this one. It works pretty well, not too much to say about it though. One thing I didn't really like though was its flimsy applicator. It bends around when you apply it, and so you can often get mess ups around your eyes that you have to clean.
ULTA - $7.79
I traded in the Colossal for this one. This is just like the regular Volum' Express, but better. My all time favorite mascara!
[Going through these 9 (yes, count'em 9!) mascaras, I have come to a conclusion that what makes a big difference in the quality and outcome of the mascara is the brush. What I find to work better are the brushes that are thick and coarse; this allow for more mascara on each lash. You can tell from the pictures that the mascaras that I did not like have very sparse brushes, while the ones that I do like have very voluminous brushes, and the outcome is voluminous lashes!]
ULTA - $6.99
